4.9 Magnitude Earthquake in Mila Province, Algeria

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 left residents in panic as it damaged homes in Mila, Algeria on August 7, 2020 – Friday. Mila province is located eastern part of the capital city of Algiers.

The earthquake left many residents in panic where houses were damaged. 3 houses toppled and left many homeless.

According to reports, no casualties were reported.

The earthquake was followed by a 4.5 magnitude aftershock.

Back in 2003, there was a 6.8 Magnitude earthquake in Algeria that killed thousands.
